There are currently three clergy in the Team Ministry. As Team Rector, Martin is supported by Isobel, who works from the Team Office in the Town Centre. Vivien & Ali are two assistant priests who mainly operate at St Michael's and St Peter's respectively. We are available to contact by clicking on the links below.

Revd Martin Stephens has been Team Rector since moving to Macclesfield in September 2016.  He is mainly responsible for St Michael’s and St Peter’s Churches, and is delighted to share this joy and privilege with many gifted and committed people. All his ordained life has been in one team or another, and he loves the benefits and challenges of working with others to help people experience and respond to the love of God. Martin is married to Catherine, they have 3 adult daughters, one son-in-law and a granddaughter. Martin particularly enjoys ‘pottering’, gardening, cinema and radio comedy.

Isobel Forester is the Clergy PA. She joined the team in May 2024, having previously worked in retail management. Isobel is based at the Team Office in St Michael's Church. She enjoys living in Macclesfield with her husband and two young children. In her spare time she enjoys exercising at the gym, walks along the River Bollin and meeting up with friends.

Basis of the Team
The Macclesfield Team Ministry comprises the parishes of All Saints', St Barnabas', St Michael & All Angels, and St Peter’s.  Each church has its own Church Council, but there are some things we do together both for mutual support and practical convenience.
