Your wedding day should be a day of joy and celebration. Here in the Macclesfield Team, we have a range of ideal venues for
your special day. We have an ancient building that can seat over 200 people, or smaller more intimate buildings (including a small chapel suitable for 20 guests). they can all be decorated with flowers of your choice and are great for photographs for your wedding album. We offer a friendly ceremony that is probably not as expensive as you think.
We also offer a variety of music for you to choose for your wedding, from traditional organ music with hymns, an excellent robed choir or modern worship songs, and even mp3 recordings of music for signing the Marriage Document. At St Michael's you can also ask for church bells to be rung before and/or after your wedding too! And all of that includes a memorable day when you will know God's blessing on your marriage and your future life together.
There are several stages to planning your wedding day with us. We'd love for you to attend a few church services so you can get to know the people and the building before the big day, but this isn't essential.
The first stage is to complete the enquiry form below. Once received, our weddings organiser, Isobel, will contact you to progress this further. Your information will be kept, securely, only to assist us with this enquiry and any subsequent bookings you make. Our Data Privacy Notice can be found here.
Isobel will invite you to attend our Marriage Preparation Course (normally in November for weddings the following year), or she will arrange for one of our clergy to contact you.
We are also happy to arrange Services of Thanksgiving and Recommitment for a special anniversary.
For ideas and info about planning a Church Wedding this website by the Church of England is very comprehensive. Or you can contcat Isobel using the contact form
If you do not live or worship in one of our parishes, it may still be possible for you to be married in church – why not come and talk to us about it? The regulations we must comply with are here. If you're unsure which parish you live in you can check this using a postcode search here.
If you decide to get married elsewhere but live in a different parish you'll probably need your Banns of Marriage to be called. Please read here for more information.
